What's new in the last release of FullTrust

The concept of manufacturers / brands was introduced, this change also applies to the oscommerce integration plugin.
A new tab was added to the dashboard; in this new section the last activity it is showed.
In the oscommerce plugin new command line parameters where added:

Ft_osc.exe –update –all will upload / update all products
Ft_osc.exe –update –new will upload / update the products recently changed only
Ft_osc.exe –orders –custorders –new will download the customers and order only
Ft_osc.exe –orders –custorders –all will download all orders and customers
Ft_osc.exe –orders –custonly –new will download new customers only
Ft_osc.exe –orders –custonly –all will download all customers

In the oscommerce integration plugin a new configuration parameter was introduced; now you can tell the software to start downloading orders from a certain order number.
In the oscommerce integration plugin now you can choose to publish the supplier instead of the manufacturer.

Version 8.4 / June 1, 2010

From now it's possible to adjust the stock of a certain product directly from the products screen, this will create and inventory adjustment movement in the product history and the quantities will be adjusted according to the data provided. This option can be blocked from the users screen.
From now it's possible to block the sales from a certain store.
From now in the inventory movements screen, at the moment of adding products to a movement of type exit, the available stock will be checked
From now fulltrust will check if there is s new version available and will notify the user about it.

This release is oriented to fix compatibility problems with the service packs 1 and 2 of windows vista.
The Postgresql database engine was updated to the las version (8.4) and also the client connection libraries was updated..
From now fulltrust is compatible with windows 7.
Registered users who wants to upgrade from 7.8 to 7.9 must do the folowing:
- Make a fulltrust database backup
- Uninstall fulltrust
- Restart windows (very, very important)
- Manually delete the fulltrust installation folder if exists.
- Restart windows
- Download and install fulltrust 7.9
- Restore the database from the backup made in the first step
- Input the registration information.

The products custom fields are now available in the purchase order format.
The database backup process was improved.
The utility to setup the network connection was improved, now you can browse the local network in order to find the computers / servers available.
A new version of the memory manager was embedded into the main module, this is the first step in the way of making fulltrust compatible with Windows 7.
The installation process was reviewed and improved.
The default database network security was changed in order to make more easy the network installation process.
Now fulltrust is compiled with a new version of the C++ compiler.

A problem in the sales by week chart was fixed.
The appearance of all bar charts was improved.
From now all the products affected for any change will be included in the Oscommerce update list, and not only that ones which the stock quantities has changed.
A problem related with the calculation of the price without tax from the price with tax was corrected, this problem in some cases was generating cents differences at the moment of making a sale.
The database access libraries was updated.
The memory manager was updated, users using Windows Vista will experience a better performance.
A translation problem was corrected in the point of sale terminal.
In the point of sale terminal the way af apply the global discounts was completely reprogrammed.

A problem related to taxes was corrected in the pre orders screen.
In the products screen now is possible to enlarge the product image.
In the search products screen now is possible to see the product image using the right button of the mouse over a selected product.
In the point of sale terminal now is possible to see the product image.

The shipping cost was added to the whole sale chain (quotation -> pre order -> sale)
The desing and functionality of the point of sale terminal was improved.

From now the oscommerce plugin can download the shipping costs from the oscommerce order to the fulltrust preorder.
A problem related with taxes was fixed in the oscommerce plugin.
From now the oscommerce plugin download the payment way and the number of the oscommerce order.
There was an error in the product edit popup in the point of sale screen, the problem was fixed.
There is two new columns in the inventory report: the purchase cost of the product and the value of the stock using the purchase cost.
Every time you create an inventory movement of the type entrance, the program will give you the possibility of create a purchase invoice using the inventory movement totals.

The payment way field was added to the preorders screen, this value will be included in the sale if you generate a sale from a preorder.
Now you can restrict the available payment ways to customers.
The marketting promotions has changed, now there is a points calculation factor and a points exchange factor. This change allows to cummulate more points with a lower monetary value.
A problem related to discounts was fixed in quotations and preorders.
From nos the oscommerce plugin can upload images via FTP.
From now the oscommerce plugin execution can be automated by using the Windows Task Scheduler.

The documentation now contains a complete reference about the available fields that can be used in the documents layouts.
The products auditor was improved, so now, the store where the inventory movements was made is shown in the report.
In the point of sale terminal now is possible to see in a better way all the tickets in hold, this, in a new window, where the user can see and select the desired ticket.
A problem was fixed in the refunds screen, the problem was happening when the user clicks on some column in order to change the data column sort order.
A problem in the grouped invoicing was fixed, the generated invoices doesn't show the customer's postal code.
Now in the point of sale terminal in the products edit screen now is possible to see the available stock for the selected product.
The posint of sale activity report was changed in such manner that now will show all the payment ways used in the sales.
In the point of sale terminal now is possible to change the status of a product already added to the sale.
In the generation of sales from customer's orders was a problem with the products which code is an asterisk, the problem was corrected.
There was a problem in the calculation of the product's purchase cost in the net profit chart, the problem was corrected.

A new option was added to the program, this new option allows the user to create shipping companies, each shipping company can have several kinds of shipping services with several rates. The idea is to be able to use this information in the point of sale terminal to specify the cost and type of the products delivery.
Two new fields was added to the stock report available in the reports generator.
An error in the checkout screen was fixed, this error was generating problems when the sale had more than a payment way.
The Z report was impoved by adding two new columns, the total of sales and the total of money received.
In the grouped invoicing utility a printing error was fixed.
An error in the customer's sales view was fixed, this problem was affecting to the new sales.
In the customers screen a new section was added, this section shows the total of sales by document type and by payment way, also there is a summary of credit sales and a chart that shows the sales history for each customer.
Now from the customers screen the user can access the previously created quotations for an specific customer and also create new ones directly from this screen.

We have added the Products Packs, which is a way to create grouped products.
In the screen of reports preview now is possible to export the data that originated the report, this, in a plain data format that is compatible with excel.

The consigment billing management feature was added.
The database can be automatically backed up from now, this feature can be programmed to run once a day.
In the point of sale section the Z Summary now includes credits notes and refunds notes information.

Now you can define special discounts for an unlimited list of products.

The products search screen now shows the available stock for each product and diferenciates by color the products with stock under the minimum.
The contact person name and position are now available in sales tickets, invoices and delivery orders.
In the group invoicing generation now you can select the invoice template that will be printed.
In the shipping note the user that create the document is recorded.
Now you can define an standard discount at a customer level, in the point of sale terminal when you select a customer the program will ask if you want to apply this standard discount for all the products in the sale.
Fulltrust now supports multiple databases, the user can create, delete, activate/deactivate multiple fulltrust databases in order to handle information about different companies using just one fulltrust instance.
The postgresql backend was updated to the version 8.2.5.
From now the inactive products are not exported to oscommerce.
The inactive products are shown with a different color in the search window.
The fields tax, tax name, tax rate and tax values was added to the barcode labels and now are available to be printed.
New chart: sales by store.
In the detailed sales report now you can filter by supplier.
The inventory adjustments now can be loaded from excel.
An utility for offline data syncronization was created, this utility will allows you to exchange information between a central store and one ore more remote stores not having a permanent data connection between them.
From now you can automatically create customers requests from the quotations.
There is a new utility: "what you should buy", here you will see what you should order to your suppliers based on two different informations: the products listed in customers request with insuficient stock and the products under the minimum stock. Also from here you can generate the purchase orders for the respective suppliers.

New set of sales charts: Sales by time, sales by day, sales by week, sales by month, sales by year, sales by document type, sales by salesperson, sales by payment way and net returns chart. The information for each chart can be exported.
From now the embedded PostgreSQL database engine runs as a service, with this, fulltrust is faster and more reliable than in previous versions.
In the point of sale terminal the global discount comments are now optional.
The credit and refund notes can be now directly printed, being the preview mode optional.
The possibility of change the products prices in the point of sale terminal was restored.
You will receive a warning if you try to generate a credit note or make a refund for a document that already has a credit note or a refund note.
The information that generates the sales behavior report can be exported for a period of 36 months.
The layout of the shipping note (packing list) now is user defined and the system can support multiple layouts for the shipping note.
From now you can't delete a product that has movements or sales.
Some changes was made to the oscommerce plugin, especially, to the retrieving orders routine.

From now FullTrust runs over PostgreSQL 8.2.
The local postgresql server was deprecated and the new fulltrust installer includes postgresql and perform a formal postgresql installation at the fulltrust setup time.
The new fulltrust installer allows two setup types; complete (for standalone installations) and compact (for network installations).
All the necessary postgresql security settings are stablised in the setup time, this simplify the fulltrust network installation.
From now the FullTrust / Oscommerce plugin can download customers and orders from the Oscommerce store.
From this release fulltrust supports group invoicing.
The point of sale terminal now accept sales from dates different than current.

Now the point of sale terminal will generate shipping notes if the user decides so.After the each sale is finalized, another person in the store can get the shipping notes to deliver the goods.
The customer’s window was reorganized and the "delivery address" concept was introduced.
As of now, you can enable or disable products.
It is now faster to check if a product is available at the point of sale.
A database maintenance feature was added.
Introduced the concept of "materialized inventory", this allows certain tasks to be carried out faster than in previous versions.
Inventory adjustments are faster now than in previous versions, and only affect the products stock in the active store.

As of now, those products with less stock than one will be exported to Oscommerce as having zero stock.
It's now possible to print delivery orders for inventory movements between stores.

Some important changes were made to the functionality and design of the main screen.
Product management was modified to maximize Fulltrust’s performance when working with a database of over 20.000 products.
The point of sale terminal has been changed, now it’s even easier than before and has more features.
Important changes in the point of sale terminal. As of now, the discounts can be expressed in values or percentages. In both cases the discount entered cannot be higher to the authorized discount for each product.
A problem in the creation of quotations was fixed.

As of now the system administrator can create marketing promotions that allow the customers to accumulate points with each purchase. The customer can use these points to pay a part or the total amount of their new purchase.
The Oscommerce update plug-in now has the ability to process only the last updated products instead of all products, this if the user selects this type of process.
There are new fields available in the legal documents. For example, the value and percentage of the applied tax at product level (required in some countries).
As of now, the users can change the names of the legal documents according to the names used in their country.
In the point of sale terminal, the user can select the document to be printed before it reaches the checkout screen.

Changes in the net profit report: A new column was added with the profit expressed as the fixed value (not a percentage).

As of now FullTrust can handle serialized inventory items. This system records the serial numbers for received, stored, and sold items. Now you can know exactly how many units are in stock, which units are in stock, and you can track the whole history of a specific item.

As of now FullTrust includes a set of tools that allow you to import product descriptions, customers, and supplier information to the database from Excel spreadsheets. The necessary Excel templates are included in the FullTrust setup package and can be accessed from inside FullTrust.

Now you can know a product’s availability directly from the point of sale terminal.
